Living ROI Transcript: Workshop 3 – Define your goals

Welcome back to the Living ROI Workshop Series. Our time together – is about your life.
So, grab your journal, get comfortable and let’s get started – your life is waiting.

Now that you’ve defined your vision, and understand the gap between where you are and where you want to be in five years, you can determine what needs the most attention. What is most important to move forward in your life right now?

It’s not necessarily the area with the biggest gap. It’s the areas of your life that are most meaningful and important to you.

I have pre-populated the first two goals – wellbeing is number one and your primary relationship and family are second. I have discovered, after years of doing this work, that these two areas are the most important foundation for realizing your best life.

I want to pause here for a moment and talk about wellness. It’s really just like they say on the airplane. Put your mask on first before assisting others. You will serve the world best only when you’re taking care of yourself, physically, mentally and spiritually. And one of the most important ways that you take care of yourself, is within your primary relationship and your family. And that’s why those are the second priority.

You can have as few as three goals for the year. However, I would recommend having no more than six. Also, have fun with this by naming these areas in terms that inspire you. For instance, wellness can be called “Goddess extraordinaire” or “Fit and fabulous” or “wellness guru”.

Now that you’ve got your goals defined – it’s time to identify actions. So go ahead and brainstorm all of the potential actions you could take to achieve each goal. Write down the top actions you want to take and when you plan to take them. You will be incorporating these actions into your life and plan as we move forward.

Living ROI is about Realizing what you want, Owning what you need to change, and Igniting it by taking action.

The next workshop is about creating a vision board that will express your goals for the year visually. This is a powerful practice that brings you closer to living your soulful life, so don’t miss it!
