Dear Friends,
The most beautiful part of the Holiday Season is the opportunity for family and friends to be reunited. One of our daughters got home two days ago and our youngest is on the plane right now. I can’t wait for all of us to be together again.
What I’ve learned about these high-expectation moments is to bring a peaceful and patient energy to the table. In the midst of travel, holidays and reunions, the best approach is to relax and stay mellow. I am reminding myself!
Honestly, I spent a few hours working on an entirely different blog today that I decided to scrap. It’s the first time I’ve done that. I’ll work on it for the New Year, but the timing wasn’t right.
Instead I am focusing on the celebrations that are about to begin. Here is a beautiful poem from a favorite writer that sums up my desired approach to this time of year:

Let all intentions and worries stop,
Free the joy inside the self,

Open your eyes and see the friends
Whose hearts recognize your face as kin,
Those whose kindness watchful and near,
Encourages you to live everything here.

The health to enjoy who you want to be
