Your Regular Dose of Soul

I created Living ROI as a passion, to share my experiences and support others who want to live more authentic, joyful and fulfilling lives. In these blog posts I share my own personal journey in work and life.

what people are saying…

“Barbara curates a wealth of knowledge and brings it together in a simple framework so I can focus on my practice – get to my planning – once a week. Taking time for myself but also being efficient are super important to me and I’m able to do both with Living ROI.”

Jo, Business Owner, Mother of Two

“The constancy of coming back to my goals in the Living ROI Journal each week serves as a tuning fork for how I plan the week ahead. I am able to focus more on the things that really matter to me – and that is life changing.”

Jennifer, Entrepreneur, Mother

“Knowing how to plan or just thinking about time in a structured way allows my friends and me to get things done. When I was in college, we had a list of fun things we wanted to do, but it wasn’t until we made a plan that we were able to actually experience those things. It was just so cool – getting those “someday” items actually done!”

Emerald Smith, Recent College Grad, Daughter of Barbara Fagan

Ignite Your Life 2021 – November 15, 2020

What a year 2020 has been. No matter your circumstances, your country or your political leaning, it has been a challenging year. We don’t expect 2021 to magically take us back to “normal,” it will take time; but we can make it the best year possible by putting some thought and energy into defining how we want our year to go. Annual planning, and envisioning how I want my year to go, is one of my favorite activities. It’s a special event I do with family and friends every year. This year, as we look towards 2021, I’m expanding my planning and visioning tent and would like to invite each of you, and your family and friends, to join me.

Reconciliation – November 8, 2020

After days, months and years of increased stress in U.S. politics, yesterday was a relief. The tension in my shoulders is melting. I wish this relief was the same for everyone, but I know it’s not. I do hope the sentiment of reconciliation can truly pierce the distrust and misunderstanding that is out there.

A Sacred and Reflective Time – November 1, 2020

You may not know that the celebrations of Halloween, Día de los Muertos and All Saints' Day are all expressions of an ancient Celtic celebration, Samhain (a Gaelic word pronounced “sow-win”), that marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of “the dark half of the year.”
